In Brooklyn, Beggars CAN Be Choosers…

I am still fascinated by what transpired on the D train this morning.  En route to Midtown Manhattan from Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, a hungry pickpocketer helped himself to my beloved breakfast burrito from the outer pocket of my messenger back.  I watched him peripherally during the entire illicit transaction.  He proceeded to read the ingredients and, disgustedly, returned it to my bag, mumbled “I can’t eat that s*#%” and casually got off at the Atlantic-Pacific station.  New York is indeed a rarefied place…
